Using the game

You may play as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must not interfere with the service, automate abusive traffic, manipulate rankings, probe other players’ data, or use the game unlawfully.

Usernames and high scores

Usernames are public. Choose one you are comfortable displaying. We may remove names or scores that are deceptive, abusive, unlawful, or obtained by exploiting the game. A former username remains reserved after a change.

No investment advice

The charts use historical market data and hide context on purpose. Results are hypothetical and do not include fees, taxes, liquidity, execution, or real-world risk. Nothing in the game is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.

Availability and accuracy

We try to keep the game accurate and available, but it is provided “as is.” Historical data can contain gaps or errors, and the service may change or pause without notice. We do not promise uninterrupted access or a particular outcome.

Intellectual property

The LongShortGame name, visual identity, original copy, and game presentation belong to their respective owner. Open-source software and third-party data remain subject to their own licences and terms, as noted in the acknowledgements.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LongShortGame is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages arising from use of the service. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may revise these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. German law applies, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country. Questions are welcome at [email protected].
